Rahwa Weldemichael, an Eritrean-American artist from the DMV. She is a self-taught photographer that has been taking photos for over three years. For Rahwa, photography is a celebration of the inherent beauty in  Gods creation whether it is people or places. Her work stands as a testament to the potent ability of images to convey emotions, preserve memories, and communicate the profound richness of the human experience.

Specializing in film photography, Rahwa's lens acts as a gateway to her perspective. She focuses on portraits, self-portraits, and documentary-style work. Her artistic approach is deeply rooted in a passion for storytelling, enabling her to weave narratives around family, culture, community, and self.
